Apart from his professional career, he is a father of ten, yet only a few know about his first child Nevada Alexander Musk-Elon and his sudden death cause.
Nevada Alexander Musk-Elon
Nevada Alexander was Elon musk’s first child. In 2000 Elon Musk married to Canadian author Justin Wilson, and they both had their first child, two years later after their marriage. Nevada Alexander Musk was born on May 18, 2002. But unfortunately, he died soon after, when he was only ten weeks old on May 28, 2002.
Reason Behind Death of Nevada Alexander Musk-Elon:
Nevada Elon Musk is said to have died because of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
SIDS is described as a newborn’s death that occurs suddenly without any apparent cause. But this can’t always be the case; many studies have shown that death in a newborn can occur due to many apparent reasons. They can die through brain abnormalities, disability, low birth weight, intrapartum-related complications, preterm birth, and due to many other reasons.
The death of Elon’s first child deeply saddened him, but he didn’t want to talk about it openly.
Elon Musk’s wife, Justin Wilson, in an interview with Mari Clarie, told
“Elon made it clear that he didn’t want to talk about Nevada’s death. I did not understand this as Elon didn’t understand why I grieved openly, which Musk regarded as “emotionally manipulative.”
She further added :
I buried my feelings instead of coping with Nevada’s Musk death by making my first visit to an IVF clinic in less than two months.
After Nevada’s death, they both tried to cope with the situation as quickly as possible and planned to get pregnant again swiftly and within a five years time frame Justin Wilson gave birth to twins and then triplets.
