Milena Leticia Roucka is a Canadian semi-retired professional wrestler, model, and valet. She is best known for her time in the WWE ring as Rosa Mendes.

Rosa Mendes Biography 

Rosa Mendes was born on October 25, 1979; as of 2022, she is 43 years of age.

She was born and grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia, and belongs of Czech and Costa Rican descent.

She was a self-described Tomboy in her school times and got suspended from school for fighting.

Modeling And Acting Career

Rosa attended the University of British Columbia and studied Business there for a while. Later, she dropped out to pursue her modeling career. In 2004, She was the first person from North America to win the “Piel Dorada.” one of the most prestigious Latin American modeling competitions. The following year, she was crowned Ms. Indy 500 by Hawaiian Tropic and served as a judge at the Hawaiian Tropic Ms. Super Bowl. 

Throughout 2004, she appeared in Costa Rican commercials for Trident, Lux soap, and Chrysler. In 2005, she appeared in a commercial for Bodog.com.

She also played Isabel Daz in Need for Speed: Most Wanted.

Mendes joined the cast of “Total Divas,” a reality television show produced by WWE and E! in the third and fifth seasons. Mendes also appeared in one WWE video game. She debuted as a selectable manager in WWE 2K16.

Professional Wrestling Career

Rosa started her professional career in the summer of 2006; she competed in the WWE Diva Search, reaching the final eight. She triumphed in the first round of a dance competition. Following her elimination on August 24, WWE signed her to a developmental contract.

Rosa Mendes was introduced as Beth Phoenix’s intern on December 22, 2008. Mendes made her in-ring debut on the March 30, 2009, episode of Raw. Mendes competed in a 25-woman battle royal at WrestleMania XXV but was defeated by Marella, who competed in drag as his twin sister “Santina.”

Mendes was traded from Raw to ECW on October 12, 2009. During his matches, she began to distract Zack Ryder, who was infatuated with her. On February 16, 2010, Ryder and Mendes were separated by ECW’s general manager. Rosa Mendes was a member of LayCool (Michelle McCool and Layla) from 2010-2011. She turned her face as a heel on SmackDown after teaming with Kelly Kelly to lose to LayCool. Mendes mostly appeared in backstage segments with wrestlers such as Kane and Hornswoggle.

Retirement and correspondent (2015–2017)

Mendes began working as a WWE.com correspondent for SmackDown in October after announcing her pregnancy on August 6.

 She went on maternity leave the same month and gave birth on February 13, 2016. On February 13, 2017, she announced her retirement from WWE. 

She made her comeback and announced her return to professional wrestling in 2018. On May 19, Roucka made her MCW Pro Wrestling debut under her WWE ring name, teaming up with former WWE wrestler Adam Rose and defeating the team of Gia Scott and Joe Keys.

Rosa Mendes Personal Life

Roucka came out as bisexual on Total Divas in 2014. However, in a later interview, she stated that she was straight. Roucka announced on August 6, 2015, that she and her partner, a clothing company owner named Bobby Schubenski, were expecting their first child; Roucka and Schubenski got engaged on October 8 in Paris, France, and they relocated to Pittsburgh as part of the pregnancy to bring the baby closer to Schubenski’s family. Rosa gave birth to a girl named Jordan Elizabeth on February 13, 2016.
