Morgan Freeman is an American actor and director whose deep voice, subtle humor, and versatility have established him as one of Hollywood’s finest actors and has received numerous awards over the course of his five-decade career.

His father’s name is Morgan Porterfield Freema, and he is a barber. When he was a toddler, he was sent to live with his grandmother before moving in with his mother and siblings. Morgan had three older siblings; his father died of cirrhosis in 1961.
